About Us

TalentStar is a media production company that specialises in community based projects.

Set up in 2001, four years later we became the UK’s first ever Community Interest Company (CIC) to be formed. A CIC is a not for profit social enterprise.

Our main focus now is video production where we work closely with clients to produce promotional and educational videos. Recent projects have included working with the likes of Barnardos on three projects covering issues such as Sexual Abuse, Young Carers and Self Confidence.

We have also produced DVDs for ME North East (the DVD was presented by BBC Weather presenter Trai Anfield and featured McFly), North Tyneside Council, Newcastle City Council, Durham Deafened Support and Durham Constabulary.

Most of our projects can be viewed on our show reel page.

TalentStar Roadshow
Up until the summer of 2008 our main project was the TalentStar Roadshow, an inter school music and performance project showcasing young talent in the North East. During this time over 200 shows were produced giving opportunities to over 10,000 young people at venues ranging from school halls to the likes of Newcastle City Hall, The Journal Tyne Theatre and Durham Gala Theatre.
